UCI Science Project
The UCI Science Project provides teachers with research-informed, three-dimensional professional learning that is foundational in sense-making, centers students' presence and thinking, and creates classroom communities that are critical consumers of information.

What We Do:
We believe every student in California is an inherent sense-maker and problem-solver that can apply transdisciplinary thinking to investigate phenomena and complex issues in their communities and beyond. To support teachers in these actions we rely on our expertise in adult learning and TK-12 Science education, collaboration with UCI Science and Education Faculty, and partnerships with community organizations in Orange County and across California. We are able to provide various structures for teacher learning such as learning labs, lesson study, full day workshops and year-long partnerships that explore science concepts, computational thinking and environmental issues using student-centered pedagogies.
